17 things to do in Bangkok this weekend (Sep 10-13)
8 September, 2026 Bangkok time

It’s weird and wet out there, so let’s plan for the weekend.

Let’s kick off with the music this week. As ever, there are parties around the city from Mustache to Apt 101, but keep an eye out for some local and international favorites at places like Melt Livehouse and Blueprint Livehouse.

For you cocktail lovers out there, the one that you can’t miss this weekend is from Burnt Ends, which is taking over The Loft this weekend with Chef Dave Pynt. If it’s food you’re after, Blue by Alain Ducasse is teaming up with Akkee for a special four-hands dinner.

Beyond that, there’s an Art Battle, Improv, and a dine and paint event. So, let’s get the weekend started.

Thu

Burnt Ends

Singapore’s famously smoky barbecue institution is heading to Bangkok for two nights, with Burnt Ends taking over Bull and Bear at Waldorf Astoria Bangkok. Expect the restaurant’s fire-focused cooking and meat-heavy flavors in a more cocktail-friendly setting, because sometimes the best way to spend a Wednesday night is with very good food and a drink in hand.

Sqweez Animal

Thai indie-rock favorites Sqweez Animal are bringing their live set to Melt Livehouse Rama 4 for a night of guitar-driven nostalgia and big sing-along moments. Presented by Waiting Room, the Sep 10 show is a good excuse to trade Bangkok’s usual club circuit for a proper live-music night. Early-bird tickets start at B300, with general admission at B600.

Seorin & Friends

If your idea of a good Thursday involves darker rooms and a steadily building four-on-the-floor, head to Apt 101 for Seorin & Friends Tech & Techno. The night kicks off from 9pm at the new Sukhumvit Soi 17 space, with Seorin joined by friends for a deeper techno-focused session. Come early, stay late, and let Thursday turn into Friday.

Fri

Afro Waves

Take the party out onto the Chao Phraya for Afro Waves, an Afro-powered night at Bangkok Island. Things kick off from 6pm, so you can arrive early, pretend you’re being sensible, and then let the riverfront do the rest. Expect big rhythms, late-night energy and plenty of reasons to ignore that “one drink only” promise.

XXL Party

Blueprint is going XXL. This party is for anyone who thinks a regular night out simply doesn’t provide enough bass, bodies or questionable 2am decisions. Clear your calendar, charge your phone and maybe tell your group chat you’ll be home “early.”

Stevie Whisper

Berlin-based DJ Stevie Whisper brings his leftfield dance-floor sensibilities to Club Seven Bells. Expect an eclectic, groove-heavy night that sits somewhere between “I’ll just pop in for one” and “why is it suddenly daylight?” Basically, the usual Bangkok nightlife trap—but with better music.

Afro Connect

Back for round two, Afro Connect brings another night of Afro sounds and dance-floor energy to Bangkok. If your current playlist has started feeling suspiciously predictable, consider this your excuse to switch things up—and possibly your entire evening.

Blue by Alain Ducasse – 4 Hands Akkee

For those who prefer their weekend indulgence with linen napkins, Blue by Alain Ducasse teams up with Akkee for a four-hands dinner. The evening starts at 5pm, with a Michelin-starred setting and a rather more polished approach to going out than your average Friday night. Bring an appetite; leave the instant noodles for Saturday

Sat

Art Battle Bangkok

Who says art has to be quiet? At Art Battle Bangkok, 12 artists go head-to-head across three frantic 20-minute rounds, with the audience deciding who survives and a live auction turning the finished canvases into very collectible trophies. Doors open at 7pm, with painting kicking off at 8pm.

TwoProv

Two people. No script. Absolutely no guarantee that things will go according to plan. TwoProv brings a night of improv comedy duos to Arcadia Live, where performers have to make up the funny bits as they go along—which is either thrilling or a useful reminder that some people are much braver than us. Expect quick thinking, questionable decisions and plenty of “yes, and…” energy.

Bouncy Tales v.0

Countercultural is launching bouncy tales v.0, promising six-plus hours of high-BPM techno, hard bounce and raw grooves at AVVE. The lineup features POKOLENIE MIKROZAYMOV, Jorgium, InRemission and FRØDE 2099, with the whole thing powered by a Kirsch Audio sound system. In other words: leave your delicate little eardrums and sensible bedtime at home.

Azur Party

Can’t make it to the French Riviera? Fine, bring the French Riviera to Bangkok instead. Azur Party takes over Blue Parrot with a Côte d’Azur-inspired evening of French electro, Mediterranean bites and cocktails, all wrapped in a strict(ish) white-and-blue dress code. The first 30 registered guests are promised a welcome drink, so there’s your motivation to arrive before everyone else starts pretending they’re in Saint-Tropez.

IVPLAY

IVPLAY returns for its seventh Bangkok edition, bringing its Berlin-inspired kink-club sensibility to the Mezzanine at Mustache. Expect underground electronic music, immersive performances, a VOID sound system and a crowd encouraged to embrace leather, latex, PVC, lace, harnesses and other outfits that your aunt would probably have questions about. There’s a strict 20+ age limit and, crucially, no effort, no entry—so maybe leave the “I just threw this on” look at home.

Sun

Sunday Jazzy Brunch

Ease into Sunday the bougie way with a Champagne-fuelled brunch and live jazz at The Living Room, where the buffet is doing considerably more heavy lifting than your Sunday plans. This month’s highlights include oysters, Alaska king crab, lobster Thermidor, a live pasta station and rotating themed specials.

Mamao x La Séance Dine & Paint

Dinner and a blank canvas: because apparently “I had a few drinks and made some art” is now a perfectly respectable Sunday night. Mamao and La Séance are teaming up for an evening of food, wine, DJ beats and painting, with your masterpiece coming home with you. Feeling competitive? Enter the painting contest and you could walk away with a complimentary bottle of wine. 7–11pm, Sun Sep 13.

The Best Night Of Your Life Tour 2026

If your idea of a perfect Sunday involves soulful R&B, acoustic pop, and a healthy dose of feelings, clear your calendar for this one. Singer-songwriters Jesse Barrera and Albert Posis bring their The Best Night Of Your Life Tour 2026 to Bangkok for an intimate night of music, stories and seriously smooth vocals. Expect heartfelt songwriting, stripped-back moments and plenty of sing-along-worthy tracks as the two artists share the stage at Melt Livehouse Cloud 11.
