Skyline Film — the Bangkok film gurus that have brought the big screen to some really fun spots throughout the city — is having another outing this weekend, this time at Dib Bangkok, the city’s newest, coolest contemporary art museum.
The three-story warehouse, designed by WHY Architecture, opened in December of last year, creating the first major contemporary art space in the city. The Dib, from the Thai word meaning “raw”, will be showing six movies from Friday to Sunday.
For this event, it’s first-come, first served on seats. Also, if the film is called on account of rain, you can use your tickets for future events. Tickets are available now.

Friday
“Once”, 6:40pm
John Carney’s romantic drama “Once” features a struggling musician and a young Czech immigrant on the streets of Dublin. With an Academy Award for Best Original Song and eight Tony Awards, Glen Hansard gives a career defining performance.
“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, 9pm
Ben Stiller took on his most challenging role in “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” both behind and in front of the camera. Starring Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Jon Daly, and Kathryn Hann, this is a story that explores the power of day dreaming.
Saturday
“The Proposal”, 6:40pm
Sandra Bullock and pre-Deadpool (or Green Lantern, for that matter) Ryan Reynolds star in a rom-com that takes viewers to Alaska on a meet-the-parents farce that has had audiences rolling for over a decade and a half.
“Cinema Paradiso”, 9:10pm
This one is for the proper cinephiles. Giuseppe Tornatore’s best film, this Academy Award winning and the Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix winning film follows a director reliving his time in the theater.
Sunday
“The Grand Budapest Hotel”, 6:40pm
The symmetry of Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel” will certainly be a stark contrast to the modern art wonders of Dib Bangkok, but this film, starring Ralph Fiennes, is the kitsch and creativity the museum embodies.
“Materialists”, 9pm
Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans team up for one of last year’s biggest rom-com drama where a New York City matchmaker is caught between a wealthy financier and her struggling actor ex-boyfriend.
