Let’s get stuck in. Starting with music, you’ve got a Beatles Night and Floyd Levine on Thursday, Vavava and a Y2K night on Friday, Sangsong Presents Volume: Vol 71 on Saturday, and a three-band showcase on Sunday. 

If you’re more into dancing, you’ll want to hit up the Salsa Bangkok Party event or the Y2K Night at Amara. 

Of course, there’s more to the weekend than music, including a night celebrating Proust, LGBTIQ+ Film Festival, local markets, and even professional wrestling.

The Piña Fiesta

ABar Rooftop at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is going tropical with “The Piña Fiesta”, a week-long celebration of island-inspired cocktails, food, and entertainment. From June 25 to July 1, you can expect island vibes and live DJ beats from the 37th floor. More info here. 

The Beatles Tribute Night 

For International Beatles Day, get yourself to Black Cabin Bar, one of the city’s favorite spots for live music, with tributes from Pack / Aey kicking off at 9pm and The Night before will begin playing at 10:45. More info here

Floyd Lavine at Apt 101

You know the venue, now get to know the music of Floyd Lavine. Apt 101, starting at 6pm, will be featuring the talents of this act along with local flavor. Apt 101 will bring the retro vibes, you bring the dancing. More info here. 

UrROOM Playhouse Room.003

With doors opening at 5:30pm (with 5pm registration) UrRoom Playhouse kicks off its third edition this weekend at Lido Connect. Expect DUMB.RONG, Uncle Ben, and Manutsawee. If you like partying early and going late, this is the choice. More info here.

Y2K Night

There will be free-flow drinks, unlimited canapes, and music from the 90s and 00s all night long. This party kicks off at 7pm, and you can expect DJs to be playing your favorite hits of the decade while you tear up the dance floor at Amara. More info here. 

Salsa Bangkok Party

It wouldn’t be a weekend in Bangkok without at least one salsa dance event. This weekend, it’s at Catrika Mexican Latin Grill Bar starting at 8pm. The Mexican food starts flowing for this event at 6:30pm, and you’ll find classes and a dance party afterward. More info here. 

Drag Above the City 

This Pride Month at Ojo Bangkok takes the celebration up 76 floors to Ojo for Drag Above the City. You’ll find Frankie Wonga, Foiegras, JTEASE, Naomi Merq, and Barry Cloudy for three drag shows throughout the evening. It all starts at 8pm, and B2,000 gets you in the door. More info here.

Melt Livehouse Rama 4: Vavava

Melt Livehouse may be getting upstaged by its Cloud 11 cousin these days, but the Rama 4 location is still bringing great bands to the neighborhood. Vavava will be headlining the night at this venue starting at 7pm. More info here. 

2nd Bangkok LGBTIQ+ Film Festival

Another event at Lido Connect this week, but definitely one you don’t want to miss, BATURU has organized the second edition of its LGBTIQ+ Film Festival in Bangkok. Each film screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the film director. The event will start this evening—featuring 5:30 opening ceremony followed by a screening of “Lesbian Space Princess”—and run through July 5. More info here.

Radio Gaga Sober Party

You don’t have to be drunk to have fun. In theory. The party starts at 4pm at Bangkok Island, and you can expect a celebration of Pride, pop culture,tunes from the 90s and 2000s. You’ll find non-alcohol drinks by the river, karaoke, and drag queen performances. More info here.  

The Proust Experience 

Alliance Française de Bangkok is having a special celebration for LGBTQ+ communities with a literary and culinary workshop honouring Marcel Proust, the Belle Epoque icon. In honor of the first volume of Swann’s Way, you’ll be making and decorating madelines and reading extracts starting at 2pm. More info here. 

Sangsong Presents Volume: Vol 71

Back again at the fifth floor of The Street Ratchada, this party starts early at 3pm and will feature headliners Freehand along with Ayla’s, Television Off, Sherry, Goodmood, and more playing until late. More info here. 

Setup Thailand Pro Wrestling: Hellraiser

If you liked the Pride wrestling event at El Sando, then maybe it’s time to go to the source. Setupupup Thailand Pro Wrestling will be having its 28th edition with Hellraiser at Circus Studio starting at 5pm. More info here.

Afro and Kimboza

At the Fig Lobby starting at 4pm, Afrokiz Tropical is back. It’s not just about the music, it’s about learning. This party will go through sunset and feature workshops starting at 4:30 followed by Afro Drills with Vivi and a Kizomba workshop. More info here. 

Every Kind of You Market 

Sunday is a good time to get some shopping in, so head down to EKM6 for diverse brands and creators, creative goods, and feel good wellness bites and drinks. A big event drawing shoppers every time, everything goes on sale at 10am. More info here. 

Blueprint Livehouse: Anthropol, Mr.Misfortune, and Ariya Echo

If you’re looking for live music on Sunday, hit up Blueprint Livehouse at 7:30pm for a three-band showcase, with Anthropol headlining the evening with alternative and garage rock. More info here. 

Grand Yoga Festival

You know what yoga needs? That’s right. Competition. The Grand Yoga Festival at Amari Bangkok kicks off at 8am and will feature a friendly yoga competition alongside a yoga session and cultural performances. More info here.
