It’s happening again. Bangkok prepares to lose Find the Locker Room-less for the first time in years. This spot has disappeared before, but they always come back.
Find the Locker Room, a regular winner and finalist at the BK BAD Awards, announced earlier today that they would be closing their doors.
“As we come into our 10th year in F&B, which is basically 30 in human years, it is time for a facelift. We are keeping the exact closing date to ourselves right now but there is still time. Come see the original wrinkles and help us empty the shelves before we go dark for a bit,” reads an announcement on Instagram.
Started by nightlife superteam Ronnaporn "Nueng" Kanivichaporn, Colin Chia, Hidetsugu Ueno, Nick Wu, and Chennarong "Jan" Bhumichitr, Find the Locker Room has been a mainstay on the Bangkok cocktail scene, and they’ve even branched out this niche brand to spots like Find the Photobooth.
This most recent iteration of Find the Locker Room has kept things fresh over the last few years with everything from dimsum to time capsule-based drink menus.
In 2017, due to a building demolition, the bar closed but reopened at a new Thonglor location in February 2018. There’s no hint as to how long it will be closed this time, but the brand appears to be taking some time to rebrand and refit. Don’t be too long.
