Holding their grand opening earlier this week, Iris & Wild Iris is the new rooftop bar and restaurant on Sathorn, and the design, drinks, and food have people talking.
First off, it’s at So Bangkok—which is one of the few hotels in the city that actually knows how to party—on the 29th and 30th floors overlooking Lumpini Park. So the view is going to be a pretty unbeatable view for special occasions and you can expect a good lineup for special events in the future.
The space is split between Iris on the 29th floor rooftop glasshouse dining room, Iris Terrace on the 30th, and Wild Iris that leans more into the late night vibe. The design throughout is sure to get some plaudits in the coming years.
Going for a Southern European aperitivo atmosphere, the space is rounded in soft curves and retro-futuristic lighting. They’re leaning hard into “The White Peacock” style.
In the kitchen is Sicilian chef Enrico Pantorno, and the Italian riviera theme continues on the menu with Southern Italian cuisine featuring citrus brightness and balanced textures, including crudo, seafood, and handcrafted pasta.
If it’s a party you’re looking for, then it’s up to Wild Iris, where the sundown will be bringing shows, dancing, and live music. The cocktail menu takes its cues from Southern Europe, with botanical infusions and refined classics.
Iris and the Iris Terrace are open every day starting at 5pm to midnight, and Wild Iris is open from 50-midnight Monday through Thursday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday.
