It broke our hearts a little when Chef Vishnu “Bank” Prempuk closed down Arowmkwan back in 2024. The space went from Onnut’s best kept secret to at top 20 pick at BK’s Top Tables 2023.
However, the smokey Bangkok wonder Arowmkwan is back at the original spot. Serving one table at a time for four for lunch (11am-3pm) and dinner (5pm-10pm), Chef Bank is serving up his favorites for a select few.
Visitors can expect the old favorites like smoked pork knuckle curry, BBQ banana leaf-wrapped fish with spicy sambal, sriracha drumstick, asian slaw, BBQ baby bok choy with ginger garlic ghee, and free flow smoked garlic biryani
Priced at B3,999 for four, this reopening comes as Arowmkwan approaches eight years of service in the city.
That said, this local celebrity chef has not been idle, with new spots from the now defunct Arloy to the relatively new Jae serving up Isaan food at EmSphere.
Over the last two years, Chef Bank has become known for his collaborations around the city, most recently with Stoke touting the “Arowmkwan Resurrection”. For the next big collab, check out The Standard Grill this weekend.
