Originally popping on the scene in early 2024 from the Paper Plane Project, Lloyd’s Club used to be found at the Metropole Bangkok before closing in August 2025. Now, they’re back at a new Thonglor spot.
Found on the 30th floor of Staybridge Suites on Thonglor’s main road, the grand reopening is set for Friday November 6 this week.
Previously, Lloyd’s Club was known as a sort of classy, vintage-styled club, but their new opening will concentrate more on a homey, social space, according to a recent press release from the venue.
“This reopening marks more than just the return of Lloyd’s Club after its renovation. It signals the beginning of a new chapter, as Lloyd’s Club evolves from a Social Space into a growing community shaped by the connections and relationships between people,” the press release announced.
The new vibe is set to feel like “a friend’s apartment”, complete with an interior design that blends Mid-Century influences with contemporary details and featuring both indoor and outdoor areas
This will mark the first “phase” of the venue as a Public Space, but it will evolve into the Friends of Lloyd’s concept for community building and move into its next phase under the concept of Friends of Lloyd’s
Lloyd’s Club has not been idle during the intervening year, with a few events that may have caught Bangkok’s eye, such as their collab with Freckled Market in September, so you can expect further fashion, design, music, and lifestyle happenings to be announced as the refreshed venue finds its feet.
The reopening begins this Friday and will be open to all, starting at 5pm at Staybridge Suites Bangkok.
