Starting earlier this month Balcony Lounge Afternoon Tea is celebrating the opening of their first InterContinental hotel in Belém with a Bangkok afternoon tea.
On the other side of the world, the international hotel brand is making their mark on the Amazon, and the people of Bangkok get a little treat from the other side of the globe in the form of a character driven treat, “The Amazonian Tropic Noir–1946”.
Expect a mix of savoury and sweet elements rooted in Brazilian flavours. On the savory side, there is Pão de Queijo cheese bread with Parma ham, Brazilian Coxinha, and Torta de Bacalhau.
For the sweets, patrons will find an Amazon Gold Tart combining Brazil-origin chocolate with passion fruit and mango and the Grand Belém Chocolate Layer Cake–1946 with rum caramel, Brazil nuts, and coffee. With your tropical coffee and Brazilian black tea, top it all off with a chocolate cigar.
The Amazonian Tropic Noir–1946 celebrates the 80th anniversary of InterContinental properties and will be available from 2:30-5:30pm until Aug 31 at B1,100 per set or B1,990 for two.
