There’s more to visiting tea plantations than taking selfies among the crops. Famous Chiang Rai farm Choui Fong Tea (053-771-563, 062-269-5988, open daily 8:30am-5:30pm, www.fb.com/ChouiFongTea) has welcomed a stunning new cafe that overlooks its picturesque plantation.
Bangkok-based firm Idin Architects have stuck to a modern tropical style with lots of clean lines and open space to make the most of the Northern breeze. The cafe serves a short list of desserts such as cakes and toasts, as well as Thai and matcha tea.
Apart from the cafe, there’s a gorgeous shop selling tea, including the signature oolong hom muen lee blend, which is mixed with aromatic sweet osmanthus.
