In your stomach, there will be a four course meal with choices including seared foie gras—because geese and ducks hate love—truffle mushroom consommé, and pan seared barramundi. SO Sofitel Hua Hin

If you feel like a drive rather than a flight and really splashing out, SO Sofitel has some truly unbelievable pampering options for their “SO Sweet'' promotion. The craziest is the SO Sweet Villa Stay, which is a two-night retreat in a SO Pool Villa full of champagne, then it’s body scrubs and massages, Nayang Bat Cave, sunset cocktails, and a private dinner at HI-SO Bar. That’s just the day before Valentines. On the day of, there's a hike to Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park, Thai BBQ lunch, spa treatments, and a 5-course meal in a private beach cabana. Before checking out the next day, there’s a floating breakfast and jet skis. Nothing says romance like jet skis—well, probably roses or chocolates or whatever, but jet skis! Now, you might blanche at the B100,000 net per package (available from 13 – 15 February 2022 only), but there is a paired down version of the “SO Sweet Stay” from B11,640++ per room per night, available from 11 – 16 February 2022 only.

Banyan Tree Samui

The Saffron Restaurant at Banyan Tree Samui is offering Banyan brand fans a little repaste for V-Day (the bad one) by the sea with a signature 3-Course Degustation Set Menu (B1,800 net per person), or a 6-Course Valentine’s Day Dinner on the Beach at B5,500 nett per person, including one 200ml bottle of Moet & Chandon Rose. If you just want to use the p lush hotel for the afternoon, they’re offering afternoon Valentine’s High Tea Set (B1,699 net for two) and there’s an Art of Romance spa package at any time throughout the month of February for a 30-minute body scrub, a 60-minute body massage or a 30-minute Romance Bath plus one complimentary Wellbeing Sanctuary activity (B12,000 per couple).

Meliá Phuket Mai Khao

Opening only recently, Meliá Phuket Mai Khao will celebrate its first Valentine’s Day with a private beach barbeque dinner, serving a four-course “surf and turf” dinner, featuring lobster, wagyu beef, truffle, and oysters. The big treat is the sunset, so dinner starts at 6pm (B 5,900++) per couple for dinner only. Rooms for the night start at around B5,100.

Banyan Tree Krabi

There’s a candlelit dinner on the menu at Tubkaek Beach in Krabi with Banyan Tree Krabi amidst the karst cliffs of the Than Bok Khorani national marine park, a special three-course set meal will be served as diners are serenaded by a trio, according to a release from the group. Dinner runs B7,999 per couple and includes dining, a bottle of Bottega Gold Prosecco, and one long-stemmed rose. Couple that with the Deluxe Pool Suite at B19,101 for a very Krabi night.
