And, here we go again. Tonight, BK will be having its annual BAD Awards for the best bars in the city (more on that tomorrow), and, after that, we’re really going to need a weekend treat.
To start out, we’ve got, as ever, plenty of live music to keep you entertained. From local bands at Melt Livehouse Cloud 11 and Blueprint Livehouse to a Queer Dance Rave and Island Grooves, the parties are really shaping up.
If you like your fun by the pool, there are two this weekend worth checking out, including Centara and the wild party that is Mad Stash.
Beyond all that, we’ve got Tinder meals, Brazilian Carnival, the Beatles, and even a vertical fun run.

Whatfalse
For something a little more intimate, head to Melt Livehouse Cloud 11 for a headline set from Whatfalse. The Thai alternative-folk act brings a contemporary take on tradition, making this one for listeners who prefer their live music rooted in storytelling rather than spectacle. The show starts at 7pm.
Pub Quiz Thursday
It’s back for the pub quiz again this weekend, and this time we look at The Deck, a great spot to grab both a drink and some surprisingly good food. First place nabs you B1,000, and second place will still get you B500 deck dollars.
Dotdotdot, Moondive, and Eyesmotion
Three rising acts take over Blueprint Livehouse on Thursday night, with shoegaze-leaning guitars, dreamy textures and Thai indie-pop energy all on the same bill. Eyesmotion kick things off at 8pm, followed by Moondivve at 9pm, before DOTDOTDOT close out the night at 10pm. Doors open at 7:30pm, so get there early if you want to catch the full three-act run. Tickets are B300.

Brujeria Live in Bangkok
Mexican-American extreme-metal legends Brujeria bring their grindcore/death-metal assault to Speakerbox Livehouse, backed by a suitably brutal Thai supporting cast: Pathological Sadism, Chainfight, Smallpox Aroma, Low Fat, High Voltage and Crapgum. Expect a loud, sweaty night that is emphatically not for the indie-pop crowd.
Queer Dance Wave
Queer Dance Wave goes darker for its latest Bar Temp outing, bringing together Krokakai, Mae Happyair and Krch.160 for five hours of leftfield electronica, EBM, techno and other after-dark sounds. Come for the underground energy, stay until the MRT starts feeling like a reasonable bedtime.
Brazilian Carnival 2026
Havana Social turns Brazilian for the night, with live-band music, Brazilian dance shows, Cuban taxi dancers, Latin and Brazilian DJ sets, Afro-Latin rhythms and plenty of carnival energy. This edition moves entirely indoors, making it a particularly useful option for anyone who doesn't fancy gambling with Bangkok's September rain.
Onyx x Hennessy Presents Blasterjaxx
Dutch EDM crew Blasterjaxx return to Bangkok for a proper RCA club night at ONYX. Expect the kind of big-room electronic anthems designed for a massive dancefloor, giant drops and a very late finish.
Lee from Grey Matters
Starting at 8pm, Bar Sathorn welcomes Lee of Grey Matters in Hangzhou, China. Stop by at Bar Sathorn for cocktails inspired by Yunnan Tibetan culture, regional folklore, and contemporary Chinese flavors.
Tinder Pork BBQ Party
Dating app Tinder takes things offline with a very Thai answer to meeting someone new: moo kratha. The Tinder Moo Ka Ter Party invites singles to share a grill, eat, drink and—potentially—find a match IRL rather than through another round of swiping. Sessions run twice a day across the weekend.

Centara Pool Party
The 26th-floor pool deck at Centara Grand returns, where the formula remains reassuringly simple: swimming, DJs, sunset, skyline and enough booze to make your Monday-self question your Saturday-self. There’s also an after-party at Cocoa XO on the 57th floor from 5pm-1am, because going home is not an option.
Island Grooves
Someone has apparently decided Bangkok doesn't have enough island energy, so Island Grooves is bringing Phangan-style partying to Bangkok Island. BBsis, Rui Tang, and thenotsofamous handle the soundtrack, promising bouncy, sexy, slightly dirty beats while you dance by the water. Basically, a beach holiday without the airfare—or the excuse for being unreachable at work.
Tribute To The Music Of The Beatles
The Beatles get a late-night makeover at SIWILAI Sound Club, with UK artist Jonas and the Nasty Trio reworking classics through UK soul and British folk. Expect A Day in the Life, Something and I Am the Walrus—but not necessarily as your parents remember them.
Mad Stash Pool Party
The Westin gets considerably less corporate as Mad Stash takes over its pool for seven hours of house, tech house, underground and techno. Doors—or rather, poolside access—open at 2pm, with happy hour from 2-4pm. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and the confidence to ignore the fact that tomorrow is Sunday.
Dobe
For those who prefer their Saturday night darker and considerably more hypnotic, Dobe lands at Apt 101 with his deep, atmospheric sound. Expect melodic techno, darker textures and the kind of set that makes “just one drink” a dangerously optimistic statement.

Vertical Fun Run
Who said Sunday mornings were for sleeping? Brew Run Club is dragging you out of bed for a vertical fun run at ICONSIAM. Registration kicks off at 7:30am, with the run beginning at 8:30am. Consider it a wholesome start to the day before you inevitably undo all that hard work with brunch.
Lonely Loud Fest 2
Feeling lonely? Excellent—you’re exactly the target demographic. Lonely Loud Fest 2 rounds up NONT TANONT, Ink Waruntorn, Bowkylion, PUN, 4EVE and Polycat for a full-blown festival of collective heartbreak. The mini stage starts at 1:30pm, followed by the main stage from 5-10:50pm. Registration runs from 11am, so there’s really no excuse to spend the afternoon alone in your bedroom.
Champagne Sunday Jazzy Brunch
Japan's Silver Week is the theme of this week’s Sunday Jazzy Brunch. In a change up from the Jazziam band, Nurse Phattaranut will be supplying the tunes as you much down on one of the city’s best Sunday brunches.
Cocktails, Tapas, and Friends
Sunday afternoon gets a serious upgrade at The St. Regis Bar, where Three X Co from Kuala Lumpur and Between The Sips from Jakarta join forces for an afternoon of cocktails and unlimited American-Italian-inspired tapas. Translation: you can spend three hours drinking fancy things, eating fancy things and pretending Monday isn't coming.
