Alright, we’re well into March, and while most of the city has its eyes on the Songkran prize next month, we’ve got plenty to be getting on with already.
It’s a big weekend for music with acts at Culture Cafe, Speakerbox, Jam, and more playing everything from original and inventive tunes to classic covers. On the classical front Somtow Sucharitkul’s Mae Naak is at King’s College International School Bangkok.
Keep an eye out for the Solomonari Festival 2026 - Teaser Party and Sunset Pool Party at Centara Grand at CentralWorld, but if you’re in the mood to move, remember to check out the Siam Square World Dance Carnival.

Mae Naak: The Classic Opera
Somtow Sucharitkul’s most popular opera returns for the fifth time since 2003 from March 4-5 at the Great Hall, King's College International School Bangkok starting at 7:30pm. More info here.

The Noise Night II
Over at Jam, they’re putting on their second Noise Night, featuring an evening of “full on sonic chaos” with the talents of Bootycall, Mimi at Capricious, Pympit, and acts with ridiculous names like CRSRCRSRRR and 624175 (not a joke). The doors open at 8pm and it’s B300 at the door. More info here.

This is a big one for Bangkok’s comedy fans, as the Comedy Club Bangkok opens at 8pm for acts Zenjiro and Tavaris Smith. The two big names descend on our city for a night of yuks, with tickets at B600. More info here.

There’s always a dance event in Bangkok on the weekend, but Siam Square is a global event space starting at noon, complete with a fair and street food, parade, opening ceremony, four dance zones, and, of course, outdoor dance party. More info here.

The pool party to catch this weekend is at Centara Grand at CentralWorld. On the 26th-floor pool deck, the party starts at 3pm and goes until 10pm, featuring volleyball, beer pong, games, and live house tunes. More info here.

A Bangkok favorite, the Midnight Ramblers Rolling Stones band, will be taking over Smalls for the night starting at 9pm. Smalls is a long-time favorite music bar, and this cover band is a local treat. More info here.

The venue 12x12 turns its hand to a “Making Sisterhood" event in collaboration with Heinrich Böll Stiftung, helping to make and maintain networks of support. Speakers include Thararat Panya from Feminist Legal Support and Didtita Simcharoen, co-founder of all-women DJ collective Sam Mae Krua, and entrepreneur Phutsalunda Matshasoy Along with all of that, there will be a clothes swap, afternoon tea, and more.
