There is, as ever, a heck of a lot going on this weekend—in addition to Pride (which you’ll find a full round up of here). And, BK is happy to report that some of the events, well, they’re just plain weird.
First off, we’ve got a gender and color blind version of “The Importance of Being Earnest” all weekend. Then there’s a mix of an al fresco bar and gokarting, and you’ll even find an event dishing on Bangkok’s darkest secrets on Sunday.
But, that’s not to say there’s not plenty of the usual tunes and partying. There’s a boat party for Filipino day and a rock band out of the Philippines at Jam. World Music Day kicks off at One Bangkok, and there’s a whole new cinema club to check out.
So, let’s get started.
Thu
Golden Hour Cinema Club

This is the first Golden Hour Cinema Club, a new way to experience movies in Bangkok. Starting their first screening at 7pm, this event will be held on the outdoor terrace of the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong for 1993’s “Poetic Justice”. The classic movie starring Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur is a free entry event. More info here.
CALM By The Road at Top Kart

The words CALM and racing don’t really go together, but this chic little bar will be taking over Top Kart for one night on the upper floor for drinks and…well, driving (though not together). 20 teams will hit the course for a competition, and there will be plenty of beats, cocktails, and fun throughout the evening. More info here.
The Importance of Being Earnest

Following on from last month’s “Carmen”, the Bangkok Community Theater will be bringing the 19th century work of absolute brilliance that is “The Importance of Being Earnest” from Oscar Wilde to The British Club next week. Promising to be a contemporary, gender and age blind reimagining of the play, the show will run nightly from 11-14th of June at The British Club, and there will be a special preview show on the 10th. More info here.
Fri
Guest DJ FVKI

Starting at 6pm, the party kicks off at Havana Social with special guest DJ FVKI, a Paraguayan artist based in Taiwan who will be playing reggaeton, latin house, dembow, and global club sounds. This will be a busy dance floor. More info here.
Filipino Day

Calling all Filipinos, it’s time to celebrate Independence Day on the river with Bangkok Island. It’ll be a full Filipino celebration with live music, DJs, karaoke, comfort food, and special performances featuring Filipino talent from across the city. Buy now for B300 online or pay B400 at the door for this party starting at 6pm. More info here.
Art in the Parq

From Friday until June 21, the Parq will be featuring a space to recharge and relax. It all starts on June 12 with lighting and sound installations by Eyedropper Fill, curated art activities, an art market and workshop, and plenty more to come. More info here.
Fatty’s XIV

Fatty’s Bar and Diner always wins BK’s Best Dive Bar Award. Why? Because everyone loves Fatty’s. It’s about a mix of live music on the tiny stage, cheap beer, the wings, and that special Wisconsin charm (but, yeah, it’s the wings). This weekend, Fatty’s will celebrate their 14-year anniversary with a two-day party, and every year is kind of a big deal. More info here.
North to South Italy – A Journey Through Terroir

On June 11 and 13, the “A La Carte Dinner: North to South Italy – a Journey through Terroir” will take two chefs, Chef Francesco Leone from JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon and Chef Stefano Merlo, for a unique journey into seasonal Italian ingredients and preparation. More info here.
Sat
Beat x Splash

Global Wellness Day is Saturday, so it might be a good time to have a bit of a weekend break (before destroying yourself in the evening). For that, we have high-energy aqua choreography with ME CARE and LUSH Thailand on the 3rd floor pool at the Kimpton Maa-Lai. Registration starts at 7:30am followed by activities, exercise, challenges, and a mingle session. More info here.
Bangkok World Music Day

One Bangkok, partnering with The Embassy of France in Thailand, Alliance Française Bangkok, and Live Promotions for the upcoming Bangkok World Music Day 2026 on June 13. The free-entry Bangkok World Music Day will feature 10 hours of music, performances and activities, expected to draw thousands of attendees. While the lineup is not yet available, organizers claim there will be more than 30 Thai and international acts. More info here.
NMIXX

Starting at 5pm, NMIXX is bringing their first world tour to Bangkok with “Episode 1: Zero Frontier” for their signature Mixx Pop style. The K-pop scene is huge, and this one at UOB Live will be big. More info here.
Rock n Roll Night

And it’s back to Speakerbox again this weekend, of course. There’s another good show, this time starting at 9pm, with blues and rock with Razorback, Johnny Loda Trio, and The Midnight Ramblers. More info here.
The Republicats at Jam

The Republicats, straight out of the Philippines, will be playing one of Bangkok’s best spots for local live music, Jam. You’ll also find Greed, Move Along, and I Feel Sick. B300 gets you in the door and the show starts at 8pm. More info here.
Sun
Giant Swing Featuring DJ Hikaru

The music starts at 8pm at YoshiBar as DJ Hikaru takes over for an all-night session. Expect deep house, hip hop, and psychedelic tunes. Mizuyo, NK Chan, GAOLAO will also be playing sets; it’s B300 online and B400 at the door. More info here.
Full Moon Party with Nils van Zandt

Not a normal neighborhood for BK, but it’s not really a Sunday without one last party. They’ll be featuring Nils van Zandt at The Club Khaosan, and this one is already looking like a packed party. More info here.
The Dark Secrets of Bangkok

It’s baaaaack. Bangkok is full of insane secrets, and this is your chance to have a listen. The Dark Secrets of Bangkok is coming back to Allso bar for one of the city’s most scandalous nights. It’s free, but contact ahead for a seat. More info here.
