PC-giant Acer is stepping into the touchscreen and tablet arena with the launch of its newest series—Iconia. The Iconia Touch Book (B49,900) opens out to two 14” touchscreens packed with 4GB ram, 640GB storage and an Intel Core i5 processor. Even more exciting is the Iconia Tab A500 (B17,900), which is the world’s first tablet device that runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb, built specially for tablets. It comes with an aluminum uni-body case, a 10.1” screen (1280x800 pixels), two cameras, a gyroscope sensor for gaming and HD video compatibility. There’s also a Windows 7 version, TAB W500, to use the device like a more classic (albeit keyboard-less) netbook. A 4.8”-screen Iconia Smartphone is also coming soon. www.acer.co.th
