Earlier this month El Mercado launched its soft opening for the new grocery addition to its Phai Singto space, providing the neighborhood with a much needed outlet for their baked goods and groceries.

The stocks of cheese and charcuterie from Europe—with cold storage for freshly imported seafood—is second to none. The new spot at El Mercado Phai Singto features pastries, freshly baked goodies, artisan cheeses, cold cuts, and a can’t-miss wine selection.

This makes the brand’s fourth edition to Bangkok, including its El Mercado Calle 35, El Mercado Encanto on Sukhumvit 39, and the bonafide institution of El Mercado in Suan Phlu.

Started by Axel Aroussi and his Spanish partner Griselda Gras, the new El Mercado (Spanish for “market”) is a space fans of the brand will be familiar with, complete with a wooden, European feel.

The pastries come from French pastry chef Nicolas, and the wide range of European cold cuts makes this a spot that can’t be missed for your next charcuterie board. And, of course, for those on the go, this space has plenty of ready-to-eat snacks and take-out bites. Don't miss the creme brule (B159) or the apple tart tatin (B179)
