Riverside Grill
26 August, 2010 Bangkok time

What used to be the alfresco, pan-Southeast-Asian restaurant Sambal has turned into a riverside grill.

On the menu, you'll find a combination of Thai flavors and Western favorites. Take the skewers selection, which includes street-food classics such as moo ping (grilled pork skewer) and gai yang (grilled chicken), both served with sticky rice, as well as grilled salmon with saffron (B620) and grilled chicken with lemon grass (B580).

There's also an array of grilled steaks. Take your pick from Australian wagyu beef tenderloin chateaubriand (B2,900), wagyu beef ribeye (B1,500), and wagyu beef tenderloin (B1,600), or grilled Australian lamb chop (B820) and roast milk-fed Australian lamb rack (B900). Seafood options include roasted snow fish (B820) and grilled jumbo prawns (B850).

For dessert, its Thai and Western classics, from mango and sticky rice (B320) to banana toffee trifle (B320).

As far atmosphere goes, you still have Sambal's unobstructed river views and chill, modern lounge vibe. Drop by on Friday to catch the weekly jazz night.
