Eiah-Sae

Possibly the last traditional Thai coffee shop in Bangkok.

Eiah-Sae
1 October, 2014 Bangkok time

You may have heard of the 87-year-old Chinese café Eiah-Sae’s famous Thai-style coffee. (Hope you like condensed milk.)

It also serves a wide range of Asian teas: lemon iced tea (B25), traditional Thai black tea (starting from B20), Thai milk tea (B25) and hot tea (B20). All can be ordered with egg custard on toast (B25), soft-boiled eggs (B20) or toast with butter, jam or chocolate spread (starting from B25).

The bread is freshly baked daily according to the founders’ family recipe. As for the atmosphere, the place is packed with old grandpas chewing the fat.
