Located in Nakhon Nayok, the Royal Military Academy of Chulachomklao houses a shooting range that’s open to the public. Don’t know how to shoot? That’s not a problem, as the Thai army provides instructors that train you on every aspect of marksmanship. Participants can choose between a cowboy-esque .45 caliber revolver or standard issue 9mm Glock. Instruction is free, but there is a small fee for ammo: B180 for ten rounds. At the end of the lesson you’re given the option to take home the target practice sheet that you’ve just shot up—a neat little souvenir. If you’re a stellar marksman, earning above a ninety percent accuracy rating, you are issued a certificate for your accomplishments.
