The Art and Society Festival, hosted by Pridi Banomyong Institute (65/1, Sukhumvit Soi 55, 087-787-7155), is honoring the 100th anniversary of the death of Thanpuying Poonsuk. The event, Change to Peace, will be held from Oct 1-16.
It includes an opening ceremony with a performance by Crescent Moon Studio (Oct 1, 2pm), a silent film screening of the The Ten Commandments (1923) and a solo performance from B-Floor group MADA (Oct 2, 2pm, B300).
There will also be a poetry reading under the theme “Mother” by Ramkamheang and Srinakarin University students (Oct 5, 4:30pm) as well as a puppet show, Sheevit Ta or Life, and the stage performance Sawasdee E Lar Ba Bo (Oct 6-9, 7pm, B200).
