Club Insomnia

Opened: November, 2010.
The buzz: After having made a name for themselves as the go-to club for hardcore partygoers in Pattaya, the folks behind the Club Insomnia Group decide to bring the party to the capital along with its signature décor, vibe and music.
The décor: Aping the original venue, the club is set in one massive hall featuring crisscrossing strobe lights, laser beams, and a suspended giant disco ball. A stage takes up one side of the room, with two cage-like areas for resident dancers and a DJ booth. You can tell they go all out with their DJs here, judging from the size of the decks and how well equipped they are.
The music: Straight-up house, trance and techno courtesy of a host of resident and international DJs they regularly bring in.
The crowd: The lack of live music means the crowd consists of mostly tourists, expats and fans of the original joint in Pattaya.
The price: Beer B160, whiskey B1,900, mixers start from B85. Or take advantage of their ongoing promotion, B99 on most drinks (everyday, 10pm-midnight).
