17 things to do in Bangkok this weekend (May 14-17)
13 May, 2026 Bangkok time

Bangkok is wet again, and we’re here for it. This weekend, like every weekend in Bangkok, is chock full of events, so let’s get stuck in and find out where you need to be.

First off, let’s talk music. It’s a good weekend for people who like indie music, with good shows to check out at Bangkok Island, Jam, and Fatty’s Bar and Diner.

If you’re all about partying this weekend, there’s a pool party starting early that you don’t want to miss from Mad Stash and Jo Waves at Levels.

For more community-centric events, we’ve been looking forward to the Neilson Hays Library book sale for quite some time, and it’s finally here and it’s lasting all weekend and into next week. If you’re more into begonias than books, hit up the Bangkok International Exotic Plants Show and Sale.

Beyond that, we’ve 4-hands dinners, comedy, crochet, and more—all kicking off tomorrow.

Jo Waves at Levels

Jo Waves, who has played Ultra Europe and Tomorrowland Winter, will be performing for a debut at Levels, with backing from DJ Amplify, Ployfon, and MC VQueen. This party kicks off at 10pm and goes late. More info here.

Ladies’ Thirsty Night

Drunk Musicians Playing the Wrong Instruments

Drunk musicians? That’s never happened before. With no cover charge, over at Fatty’s Bar and Diner starting at 8pm, you’ll find local musicians doing their thing with fun jams and “musical mayhem”. They’re promising weird solos and questionable musical decisions along with Keyboard Fatty, Woranut Boy, and Hot Like Hell. More info here.

Fri
