The Clock Out

An Italian-inspired restaurant with glitzy touches.

Klongsan’s The Clock Out is an all-day, Italian-inspired restaurant that packs more than a few glitzy touches.

The space goes for a modern-farmhouse vibe with blue leather seats, faux log walls and plentiful hanging greenery.

Mains pair premium produce with impressive plating in the likes of the foie gras raspberry rocket salad (B360), a flawless combination of sweetness, nuttiness and bitterness that pairs well with a glass of red wine (starting at B190/glass).

The menu contains numerous Australian steak options; try the beef tagliata (B630 for 400g), strips of meat cooked to medium-rare perfection and served with smooth mashed potato and rosemary compound butter.

Then there are the spectacular cocktails. The bartenders carefully guard the secret to their “shimmer” cocktails (B290), gold and purple vodka-centric concoctions which look like galaxies in a glass (see video below).

You can also order regular drinks like gin tonic (B240), here spruced up with rosemary and cucumber, or visit on Tuesday through Thursday for the weekly wine buffet (B499).
