Studio Lam is closing, but they’ve got a packed lineup through February
5 January, 2026 Bangkok time

The music scene in Bangkok has absolutely exploded over the last decade—from niche local dives like Jam and Speakerbox to high-end Black Cabin acts. But, one of the true innovators of the scene, Studio Lam, will be closing in February after 12 years.

Over the weekend, Studio Lam officially announced that they would be closing their iconic venue, a mainstay of the live music ecosystem since 2014. Since opening, their spot has drawn visitors and regulars (and even the occasional celebrity and travel program).

“Born in 2014 with a simple intention — to create a home for music that lives outside the mainstream — Studio Lam grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. A small bar, a listening room, a stage… that somehow became a meeting point for ideas, experiments, friendships, late nights, first shows, and lifelong memories,” Studio Lam announced with their closing on social media.

But, you know Studio Lam isn’t going down without a party, and they’ve planned nearly fifty shows to turn off the lights to last night on Feb 28. Other than the Feb 7 election, you can expect nightly shows from old favorites and new friends.

When Studio Lam opened, it made headlines with its mix of molam and yadong cocktails—an unmistakably Thai vibe that evolved and changed but never really lost its spirit.

Acts from Dubway Sessions to the molam tunes from Paradise Bangkok will be seeing this space to the very end. Feb 28 is officially the final night for this beloved Bangkok live music venue. And they’ll have the Last Dance with Maft Sai and Studio Lam All Stars.

It was fun while it lasted. Bangkok will miss you, Studio Lam.
