At a striking event at Wynn Palace in Macau, Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list was officially announced and the Big Mango walked away with 8 of the top awards in Bangkok, including a three in the Top 10.
It was a big night for Dry Wave Cocktail Studio, the brainchild of super mixologist Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana, which took home the top spot for Bangkok at No.4. It was the talk of the town when it opened in April of 2024, and it took home both Bar of the Year and Bartender of the Year awards at Top Tables 2025.
Next up comes Bar Us at No.6, the space from the team behind Messenger Service — a brand that’s all about creative drinks and a chic space to have them in. Following on their heels is Lennon's at No.7; this is a bit of a sleeper hit on the Bangkok cocktail scene, one that pairs vinyl with style.
Next up is Bar Sathorn at No.17, a venue known as much for its drinks as it is for its historic design (and accompanying historic cocktail menu), followed by BKK Social Club, perhaps the hottest hotel bar in the city, which once upon a time was one of only two Bangkok bars on the World’s 50 best.
Heading off half the list at 25 is Opium Bar, the upstairs cocktail answer to Potong, where you take the tiny elevator from one of the finest restaurants in town/ancient pharmacy for excellent cocktails above. Then, it’s GOD Bar at No.31, the church-like spot from Niks Anuman-Rajadhon and Attaporn De-Silva.
Finally, it’s newcomer to the list Aqua Bar at No.48 with their Potions of the Garden at Anantara Siam.
This news follows on from the 51-100 list released earlier this month, which saw plaudits for Vesper, Messenger Service, Mahaniyom, and Firefly.
