Ahead of the announcement of the top 50 later this month in Macau, Asia’s 50 Best Bars has released their 51-100 list with some ups and downs—as well as some picks that have fallen from the top 50.
First up for Bangkok is Vesper, barely missing the top 50 at No. 56. Vesper has appeared on the Asia’s 50 Best list every single year of the event’s history dating back to 2016, and this is a drop from last year at No.29.
Next up is Messenger Service at No.69, which made some bold changes when it moved venues. Up from No.90 last year, the space’s reinvigorated vibe also earned it Best Bar Design Award last year.
No.76 Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar is down from No.71 last year, but this nose-to-tail cocktail spot remains a favorite in the city for its bold ingredients.
Firefly is at No.78, up from No.82. The chic jazz club with whimsical cocktails and an impressive food menu at the Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel has been slowly gaining ground since it opened in 2022—earning plaudits for both its drinks and its tunes.
The final top 50 list will be announced on July 28.
