Q Bar might have seemed pretty quiet over the past couple of months, well that’s because they’ve been renovating their downstairs dance floor. But not to worry: their space featuring three new bars will be unveiled next week. The opening act to test out the facilities will be legendary DJ, and pal of Will Smith, Jazzy Jeff (Dec 11). Since his artistic breakup with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jazzy Jeff has become a prominent producer on the hip hop scene of his native Philadelphia.

Q Bar fans who have seen this bar go from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok and in and out of Singapore must head to the Samui branch. Located up on a hill by Chaweng lake with a big neon "Q" burning out of the hillside, it claims to be "the most trendy place in Chaweng." The claim is well substantiated with a chic black‑and‑white interior, a killer cocktail list, a breathtaking view and Samui's hip crowd.
