Let the last week of August begin.
We’ve got an unusually funny weekend planned for you. Gossip at Chit Chaat, get in some relationship improv at Comedy Club Bangkok, or head over to Arcadia Live for the Battle of the Sexes.
On the party front, look no further than Havana Social this weekend, but you’ll also find wild nights at The Standard and Bangkok Island Pier.
As always, we have some pretty kitschy things for you to do this weekend, from professional wrestling in a Mexican restaurant to painting and wine drinking. Let’s get stuck in.

Kodaline

For Aug 28-29, Irish indie-rock favorites Kodaline are touching down for a highly emotional two-night stint at UOB Live inside EmSphere. As part of their official Farewell Tour, the band will be looking back at over a decade of stadium-sized tearjerkers and cinematic pop hits. Prepare for massive crowd singalongs to iconic anthems like "All I Want" and "High Hopes" in what will be an unforgettable send-off. More info here.
Dating Disasters

This week Comedy Club Bangkok will be sticking with the dating theme — improv style. We’re talking bad first dates, app disasters, and genuine unscripted chaos from the audience, all starting at 8pm at Bangkok’s favorite space for comedy. More info here.
Carnaval de la Habana

There’s a reason to go to Havana Social every weekend, but it’s always great to hit one of their big parties. For this event, starting at 6pm, Latin energy will be coming from DJ Henry Knowles, live bands, Cuban Taxi Dancers, and a Carnival performance from Madame Rouge. More info here.
Rossini’s Wine Dinner

Rossini's Wine Dinner at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel delves once again into the style of Tuscan wine for a Friday dinner. Tickets start at B3,500 for food only, but do yourself a favor and spring for the wine pairing for B6,500. More info here.
Vilah Jazz Sessions

Join Sararn for the night of live jazz, drinks, and bites at Vilah Lounge — a little bit to drink, some cheese, a few tunes, and the Bangkok skyline. This event kicks off at 8pm at this premium space at Kromo Bangkok. More info here.

Battle of the Sexes

Last week was for the singles, and this week the Battle of the Sexes continues at Arcadia Live. Starting at 7:30pm, head over to Phra Khanong where you’ll find Alex Latour hosting for Sarayumi, Daniel Holmes, and Bianca Lau. More info here.
Fire

The Wholesome Book Club

The Commons Cloud 11 has been getting all the love recently, but don’t forget your friends at Thonglor. The book club returns at 2pm for bookworms to unite to read, meet, buy, and, because it’s The Commons, eat. It’s a chill way to just sit and enjoy your Saturday. More info here.
Live Jazz at Gigi Asoke

Jazz returns for a night at Gigi Asoke. Jazz Vibes at Gigi starts early at 6:30pm and goes until 9:30pm, a chance to get a nice little bass on before you properly hit the neighborhood for the nightlife. More info here.
Sun
The Art of Scent and Champagne
From Panpuri Care Eau de Parfum, visitors will be going to add a little creativity to their weekend with a workshop guided by artist Aey Kamolatas of Ami's Paint Bar starting at 3pm. Natural ingredients will be used to create personal artwork with the essence of Eau de Parfum. Oh, and you’ll be enjoying Ruinart Brut Champagne and curated canapés.
HT, Sunday Nights, Raincovts

There’s one final live music event for you in Bangkok this weekend, and it’s at Blueprint Livehouse. Starting at 7:30pm, B350 gets you in the door for this three-band lineup at one of Bangkok’s favorite places for live music. More info here.
Sip, Paint, Socialize

There’s nothing quite like an artistic wind down on a Sunday afternoon — with a little hair of the dog. Starting at 5pm, paint and sip some vino at Cantina. This is a fun, no pressure event with a lot of memorable keepsakes. Be sure to book in advance. More info here.
