Spend B50,000 at the newly reopened Echelon club and you get carried around in a golden ‘Throne of Chaos’

Echelon is back in a big way, and they’re not being subtle about it.

First making big waves in 2023 with its Snowpiercer-themed digs, Echelon, a bar-to-club space in Thonglor, closed down for their “last dance” in March of this year. But, just six months later, they’re back at Marche.

In particular, they’ve got a wild new “Throne of Chaos”, a plush, gold sedan chair in which patrons are heralded aloft like a feudal lord. Now, this isn’t cheap, but if you splash out for a B50,000 bill, you get a go on the chair.

Is that a lot of money to spend? Absolutely. Does it make you look like Donald Trump doing the Hora at a bar mitzvah? Sure. Is this sort of conspicuous consumption going to end in global violence? Maybe. But you can’t argue with the results, as folks at Echelon are taking advantage of this special treat and loving it on social media. There’s nothing else like it in the city.

There are a few caveats to this, but the big one is that you need to be under 60 kilograms. So if you’re on the heavier side and spend 50k, you’re out of luck.

The official reopening was held on September 10 with a new look, and now the club kids of Bangkok are starting to take notice.

While still new, the club is still dropping special event nights, including their new ladies’ night, where parties of four ladies get a free bottle of bubbly.

Found at Marche, the venue was the first real club experience at the mall first opened in 2023, it was really in the vanguard for making Marche more than just a spot for Thonglor office workers and into a proper destination.
