In what they’re calling a “nightlife revolution” a whole new type of club is coming to Bangkok in December, one that will be able to house 6,000 people. No matter what happens, this will be a pretty big feather in Bangkok’s nightlife cap.
Billed as the first Asian Hyperclub, the capacity is about the population of Montana’s 19th largest city. No launch date has yet been given, but the current expectation is December.
The minds behind this whopping huge venue have announced in a press release yesterday, that the new space is, “Designed to rival the most iconic venues across Ibiza, Las Vegas and Berlin, FVTURE is a leap into tomorrow; a purpose-built, next-generation hyper club where cutting-edge audio-visual technology and world-class electronic music converge in one multi-sensory explosion.”
Aside from the 6,000 people plugged into one venue, the new space will feature VIP Lounges, modular side stages, and is sure to be a space for big acts in the future. They’re currently boasting the first ever L2 & L2D L-Acoustic system in Asia with over 40 subwoofers and a 500sqm LEDs wall and another 500sqm of modular LEDs throughout. Yup. That’s a square kilometer of LEDs, so you can expect some killer light shows.
"FVTURE is a statement of intent. Bangkok has long deserved a venue that stands alongside the global greats and that’s exactly what we’ve built. From sound to visuals to community, we’ve designed FVTURE from the ground up to really break into new frontiers and give Asia the truly mind-blowing club it’s long deserved,” Co-founders Victor and Michele Wang were quoted as saying in the press release announcing the intended December launch.
So, the question remains: How is such a big club going to fill them in?
Well, with Tomorrowland on the horizon and international and homegrown names like Creamfields, Wonderfruit, and 808 just around the corner (not you, Rolling Loud), this city certainly has the potential. We’ll know more in December.
