If you haven’t heard, the citywide music festival Bangkok Music City is set to return in January 2027, a huge celebration of tunes that brings together artists the world over.
Running for both January 30 and 31, the festival is set to return this year, hopefully with more acts and venues than ever. If you think you’ve got the stuff, the event is currently looking for new acts to play and have issued an open call. Starting yesterday and running through September 6, applications are now open for local acts to perform for Bangkok Music City.
Thai artists are invited to fill out forms, available through Bangkok Music City social media and website, through the specified date for an opportunity to join the festival. International acts may only apply through August 13.
Last year was a real banger with 86 acts on eight stages across Bangkok’s Charoenkrung Creative District, complete with an app that would see patrons to their bands of choice (and the app actually worked). More than 12,000 festival goers found musical artists from 16 countries. Headlining Thai acts included SCRUBB, Tilly Birds, The Parkinson, The Darkest Romance, Yonlapa, and office favorites HardBoy.
Venues have not yet been announced for the coming festival in the new year, but updates will be available as the event approaches.
