Here we are again. The city is flooded, the weather is just plain weird, and there are new and very stupid drinking laws that have everyone confused. But that’s not going to stop the Bangkok weekend.
First off, we have good news for book lovers. It’s not just the floating library at Doulos Hope, there are book events this weekend including the monthly Reading Club at The Commons and the big Neilson Hays Library Book Sale.
On the live music front, there’s a lot to talk about. First off, Mew is playing their “The Farewell Shows” tour, but if you like your tunes a little harder, head over to see the world famous Nirvana cover band at Artspace Bantadthong or a night of Britrock at Speakerbox.
Along with some collaborations with Blue Elephant and wine dinners with Arva, there are plenty of unique events like a singles night market and the final showing of Mamma Mia! in Bangkok.
So, let’s get this weekend started. We don’t know if you’ll get fined for drinking after midnight, but we do know you’re not doing the weekend right if that’s the only drink you regret.
