16 things to do in Bangkok this weekend (Oct 16-19)
15 October, 2025 Bangkok time

If the rain would stop for just one frickin’ minute, this will be one heck of a weekend. We’re really counting the days to Halloween around here (and don’t forget to check back on Friday for our event roundup for the holiday), but there’s plenty to keep us occupied in the meantime. Good concerts, great food, and, as ever, plenty of weird madness to get into in Bangkok.

On the music side of things, you’ll have our local songwriters down at Jam for a no-pressure show, and Speakerbox will be bringing some experimental noise from locals, while the Lat Phrao folks from Noise House have company from Japan.

For eats, you’ve got Sababa doing some cool hamburg deals while the jazzy brunch on Sunday goes to Bali. It’s almost the weekend, so let’s do this.

Thu

Push on Sound

Starting at 8pm, Speakerbox is bringing in some experimental tunes exploring rhythm, texture, and motion. They’ll be featuring Ghstweb, Miwyu, Bankjork, and Ramin. This is a free entry event at Thonglor’s favorite live music venue. More info here

Scribble and Sing

Songwriter night is back at Jam for the first time in months. If you’re a fan of your city’s music, go show them some love. The lineup includes Skylar Herter, Diluted Illusion, Zeedoz, Jack Harper, John Lindsay, and Narrative Death. More info here.

Hamburg Special

You might not think of hamburgs when you think of Sababa, but that’s about to change because they’re launching their Hamburg Special for B390 a pop, including carbonara inspired hamburg, ebiko and shrimp, and spicy lamb. There are only 10 servings a day, but there are also freeflow highballs for two hours at B999. More info here, Sababa

Ca’ del Bosco Wine 4-course Dinner

At the Embassy Room starting at 6pm, they’ve got a great date night for you on a Thursday featuring a four-course wine dinner complete with the debut of Ca’ del Bosco’s sparkling and red wines. More info here.

Fri

Thai Cheese Buffet

The cheese buffet returns again for your slice of Friday fromage, this time at the very cool Vivin Suk 22 location. The buffet runs from 5-9pm, featuring 20 different types of Thai cheese as well as cold cuts, bread, bread, salad, and more—along with a glass of GranMonte wine. More info here.

Mamma Mia Party

We told you yesterday that there’s going to be a homegrown production of Mamma Mia!, and one of the sponsors is Aesops Greek Restaurant & Rooftop, which will be putting on a whole ABBA shebang with an exclusive pop-up performance by the BCT cast. There’s a minimum spend for tables, but standing tickets are available. More info here

Gekko to Gekikou

Noise House Lat Phrao is the live music venue the Sukhumvit live music venues don’t want you to know about. On Friday, coming to us from Japan, Gekko to Gekikou will be taking their innovative tunes to this stage for the second time, starting at 8pm. More info here, Noise House Lat Phrao

Sat

Not sure what to expect with this one, but it’s already a pretty popular event. Taking place over Oct 18-19, the event’s debut last year drew over 200 dancers. This time they’ll be featuring six choreographers for 10 dance classes over the two day period at Donki Mall Hall. More info here
