We already did our big list of 50+ things going on for Halloween this year in Bangkok, but just because everyone’s dressing up like lunatics doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of other things to do. We’ve still got comedy, cooking, booze, and dancing to keep you entertained. 

For comedy, April Macie is in Bangkok for a one night show on Saturday before she moves on to Pattaya and Chiang Mai. On the music side of things, Neato is playing down at Speakerbox and Riff Core is going down at Mr Fox Livehouse. 

For you foodies out there, Lady Butcher is mixing it up with Chef Pikul, and Singapore is celebrating 60 years with a big gala dinner. 

There are movie premiers, Wild West murder mystery nights, and more ahead, so let’s get started.

Neato Southeast Asia Tour

With Neato from the US headlining as part of their Southeast Asia tour, alongside Mark Foggo’s Missionaries of Ska and Foolish Bastards. This will be a high energy Thursday night show starting at 7pm, and B200 gets you in the door. More info here. 

Social Game Night

Folks today love their board games because it’s an easy way to, well, torture your friends. This is a meetup where folks can find new and interesting people and dominate them. SG 60 Gala Dinner

It seems there’s always a fancy chamber gala happening every weekend, but this one is celebrating 60 years of Singaporean independence. This is a formal attire affair expecting 500 attendees at the Ritz-Carlton and a single seat will set you back B5,300 for this affair starting at 6:30pm. More info here.

Murder Mystery Dinner

It’s murder, but it’s not Halloween. In fact, this one is Wild West themed. So grab your gun and your can of beans because this Earth House event will feature a night of mystery at The Velvet Spur—along with a seven-course dinner and free-flow wine and beer. “The Light is Not Ours” Premier

This event from Alliance Francaise de Bangkok will be having a premier for “The Light is Not Ours” from director Cedric Arnold about the ritual offerings of cinema, a dive into a movies, 35mm, and the sacred. More info here. 

Montalcino Wine Dinner

Prego will be featuring a wine dinner starting at 6:30pm, a Montalcino Wine Dinner evening featuring four courses of Tuscan wine with food from Chef Marco Boscaini. B1,500 buys you your spot. More info here. 

Dark Music Festival

On Oct-Nov 1, you’ll find big acts playing bass, trap, and dubstep for one of the wildest parties of the season. The dress code is black for this EDM affair, and you’ll find acts playing until late. More info here.

April Macie Live in Bangkok

For one night only, comedy superstar April Macie—known from Last Comic Standing, Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready, and many more—will be playing Bangkok before continuing her tour to Pattaya and Chiang Mai. The event, in collaboration with FunwithLex, kicks off at 7pm at the Siam@Siam Design Hotel. More info here. 

Riff Core

The Riff Core event is coming in hot at Mr Fox Livehouse, with Against the Gravity, Bluk n Blu, Eternal Gosh, Poe GYI, and 2iGdgafxxf. The live shows start at 6pm, and you can expect this one to go late. More info here. 

Afrofloat

They’ve got a big Halloween party on Friday, but on Saturday, Bangkok Island will be completely different for a four hour cruise between 4-10pm. You’ll find two stages and four decks across the boat, featuring DJ Do, DJ Mack, DJ Volumes, and a live show from Mike Blue. More info here. 

Latin Saturdays

Latin dance in Bangkok is a big deal—and it has been for years now. For this event, they’ll be playing Latin beats all night from DJ Henry Knowles along with a free salsa lesson at 8pm and drink specials going all night at R Bar. More info here.

Guy Fawkes Night

Remember, remember, the…second of November? Oh well, who’s counting. If you are tired of these protestants and their lickspittle King James I and want to blow up a building to restore Catholic supremacy, then this is the party for you. The British Club Bangkok will be having their annual Guy Fawkes Night event with a buffet, fire and magic show, and storytelling from Neilson Hays. 

Sunday House n' Techno Music Strictly Vinyl Sessions

Over at Culture Cafe, they’re not stopping the party just because the weekend is ending. They’ll be having a night of tunes featuring a full vinyl set of underground house and techno with Giantsiam, all starting at 8pm. You can expect this one to go late. More info here. 

Buga Sundays

For the club kids, there’s always a party on Sunday night at Bafros. Buga Sundays, an institution at this point, kicks off at 10pm. You can look for DJ MasterD, DJ Dom, and MC Fabulose. More info here. 

Free Bachata and Salsa Class

We already told you that Latin dance is big here. But, can you actually dance? Here’s your chance. But the best part is that they’re doing it down at Radicle Beer Company, the new craft beer spot in Onnut. Salsa Paradise Thailand is putting on the lessons for beginners starting at 6pm, but this dance party goes late. More info here.
