Halloween weekend was a rager–one of the biggest nightlife nights of the year. But this is Bangkok, and we don’t slow down. This weekend is packed with food, comedy, and live music.
On the tunes front, Speakerbox is throwing their third Emoween party for all you goths out there, and over the Bathroom Singing karaoke event at Jam is back with an (as ever) odd new theme. Over at Fatty’s Bar and Diner, it’s all about the Beaver Moon and bluegrass.
Foodies will find a champagne dinner with the creative minds of Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin and a special fine dining and fine art mashup at Maison Dunand. We’ve even got theater this weekend in the form of Mamma Mia! and an encore showing of the Rocky Horror Improv Show at Comedy Club Bangkok.
Beyond that, there are raves, comedy, and run clubs. It’s all on this weekend.

Bathroom Singing: Hello Wiener Edition

Bathroom karaoke is back at Jam, one of Bangkok’s favorite spots for live music. Doors open at 8pm. More info here.

Mamma Mia!

A smash hit musical since 1999 and spawning a 2008 film starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, “Mamma Mia” is a genuine modern cultural treasure based on ABBA’s biggest hits. Now, it’s coming to Bangkok from our very own Bangkok Community Theater (BCT). From November 7-15 BCT will be putting on six performances of ‘Mamma Mia!’, the group’s first show since their annual Fringe Festival in May, held at the St. Andrew’s International School Sukhumvit Auditorium. More info here.
