Booklovers will be making their way to the charming urban sanctuary of GalileOasis in Ratchathewi for World Book Day this Sunday (Apr 23) for a collaborative effort between the Embassy of Spain and Songwat’s creative art space Mesa 312.

The event will promote reading culture to coincide with World Book Day and the festival of Saint George, a holiday to commemorate Catalonia regional patron saint, known for his legendary slaying of the dragon.

Apart from local and Spanish independent bookstores which will be gathering to showcase their works, expect fun, engaging workshops—think princess pinata making, Thai creative writing sessions, and more. There will also be Spanish food on sale for the event.

After finishing with all the sessions, make sure to stop by at the seafood eatery Fishmonger for its crispy fish and chips that are made exclusively from Thai local fish caught from Koh Lanta.

This book fair falls less than two weeks after the massive 51st National Book Fair and 21st Bangkok International Book Fair 2023 at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center on Apr 9

Soi Rong Rian Kingphet. Phetchaburi Rd, 10am-7pm, BTS Ratchathewi. Free entry.
