English rock band Arctic Monkeys announced today that they will come to Bangkok next year on a tour through Asia.
 
Best known for 505, Do I Wanna Know?, and A Certain Romance, Arctic Monkeys will play their first Bangkok show in March, promoter The Very Radio announced.
 
The concert will take place March 9 at BITEC Bang Na. Tickets range from B4,000-7,000 and go on sale online at 10am on Dec 12.
 
Months of rumors about the band’s arrival have excited fans of quality international acts. The tour will be the band’s first in Southeast Asia with shows scheduled for Singapore, Manila, and Jakarta.
 
Founded in 2002 in Sheffield, England, Arctic Monkeys is comprised of Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jamie Cook (guitar, keyboards), Nick O’Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals).
 
The band’s wider international fame came with the success of its critically acclaimed fifth album AM (2013), which was supported by the global hit Do I Wanna Know?.
 
Their latest album The Car came out in October.
