The people who brought you It’s Happened to be a Closet in Khao San (now closed) are now spawning a mini empire under the brand Palette: a corner in Siam Paragon, a corner at The Emporium and now this third location, Palette’s first real shop, at 3/F, Siam Center (Rama I Rd., 02-658-1149).
Guys can crash into the homely wood furniture in the front while they wait for their girl to ransack this walk-in closet of a store. Dim light, modern lines, and a colorful palette surround neatly stacked clothes in the middle of the store.
These clothes are best sellers from It’s Happened to be a Closet, produced at lower prices by cutting some of the handcrafted details out and ramping up production. Made by the same designers, using the same patterns, expect It’s Happened’s trademark bohemian chic. The current Winter/Autumn collection sees shades of green, purple and orange but mid-April the Summer collection will roll in.
Jeans start from B3,450 and tees go for B1,300. A charity T-shirt for disadvantaged kids is also available at B590 each.
