The local Thai-Italian singer, Pavida Moriggi, best known as her stage name Silvy, recently launched her own swimwear brand, Italiana, with a fellow Thai-Italian pop-folk singer Valentina Ploy.

Silvy first entered the music industry at 15 when she competed in the popular TV singing competition, The Star. She faced criticism for her body as she didn’t look like the typical super thin and pale Thai celebrity.

But that didn’t bring her down and she made a comeback last year with her single, “XL” (see below), where she sings about being comfortable and feeling beautiful in her own skin.

Italiana is a swimwear brand with Valentina Ploy, who competed in The X Factor (Italy) and The Voice Season 6, to empower women to feel beautiful in their bodies.

The first bikini set is called Aperol Spritz and is in a glittery brown-orange-ish color, just like the color of the eponymous Italian aperitif. Available in size S (top 30.5-34 inches; bottoms 33.5-37 inches) to size L (top 36.5-42 inches; bottoms 39.5-42) for B1,990 via Line.
