This cinema-themed cafe transports you to the golden era of movies.
Hustle away to Samut Prakan to find Scenema, a striking cafe that aims to capture the faded glory of old cinemas. Adorned with antique popcorn cabinets, a photo booth, red theater-like chairs, and a red carpet, the cafe can’t make up for the loss of Bangkok’s standalone theaters (Scala, the Siam, etc.), but it does offer a fun spot to sip your latte.
The menu sticks to the theme with drinks like popcorn lattes topped with caramel corn (B79), pancakes with salt caramel popcorn (B129), and salt caramel bingsu (B139).
There are savory bites, too, like baked ham cheese toast (B49), fried chicken in flavors like tom yam and krapao (B79), and tonkatsu curry rice (B79).
Order from a bar designed to replicate a movie ticket counter, then take some snaps with your friends at the photo booth.
