Ahead of their World’s 50 Best Awards show later this month, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants released their picks for the 51-100 restaurants yesterday, and four Bangkok eateries made the list.

The top ranking Bangkok resto on the list was the hard-to-book Sorn at No. 56, a restaurant that actually got the highest marks for the city in 2022.

The Suhring twins Mathias and Thomas Sühring and their eponymous restaurant in Yen Akart ranked No. 72, followed closely by a new entry on the list, Nusara, which recently relocated to a spot with a more impressive view of Wat Pho on the river, at No. 74.

Another new entry on the list at No. 88 was the Thai-Chinese heritage at Potong, which is also home to Opium cocktail bar.

The list this year was spread across 22 destinations, with the top ranking restaurant as No.51 for Narisawa in Tokyo. After this little amuse bouche, the actual top rankings for the World’s 50 Best will be announced at a live ceremony from Valencia on June 20th.

In 2022, only one entry, Sorn, made the list, so fingers are crossed this year.
