BANGKOK RESTAURANT

Vaso

Bangkok’s elite flock to this lively Spanish tapas bar.

Bangkok’s hi-so crowds flock to Langsuan’s lively new Spanish tapas bar, which has given it a hard-to-book reputation. An army of servers dart around the packed counter seating, as fun-loving, tattooed head chef Alvaro Ramos busts out upscale Spanish tapas, like truffle toast (B280), decadent caviar churros (B790) and classic pan con tomate (tomato toast; B120). Kick off a night of drinking and indulgence with el vaso de ostra con cava (B320), an oyster served atop a glass of Spanish bubbles, before digging into a plate of buttery Iberian ham (el plato de Joselito; B690/50g; B1,290/100g) or the hearty Arroz Negro (B480), a black paella with cuttlefish and squid ink. Urged on by loud music from the resident DJ and a glass of sangria (B290), you’ll soon get into the party spirit.
