Set just off the main Thonglor thoroughfare, Sundays Cafe is impossible to miss, its exterior covered in bright, abstract paint splatters.

Inside, too, is all a-jumble with a Dada-ist mess of antiques, trinkets and portraits.

There’s a similar feeling of anything-goes on the menu: East-meets-West in the nam prik narok kao goong (B290), in which angel hair pasta is topped with chili and doused in shrimp roe, while it’s a case of Nutella-on-Nutella in the fudgy Bruce Cake (B190).
