BANGKOK RESTAURANT

H Dining

Your new brunch spot has arrived.

From the same owners of the minimalist, black- and white-clad Hands and Heart coffee shop comes H Dining.

Located down the street from its predecessor, H Dining is an all day dining concept focusing on healthy, feel good comfort food. The new spot doesn’t stray far from the minimalist script, with warm hues, wood and splashes of white keeping the vibe light. Outside, you’ll find lush greenery and round picnic tables surrounding the restaurant, which, in a very welcome twist, is pet-friendly.

The kitchen is overseen by a young chef Kanta “Toiting” Siddidharm, who has a CV packed with stints at fine-dining stalwarts like Gaa, 80/20 and Noma. Considering her background, the food—a mix of Thai and Nordic touches—is naturally technique-driven while remaining simple and comforting. The all day dining menu includes hits like the pumpkin soup (B180) and the smoked salmon on rye bread, topped with seafood sauce, sour cream, herbs and candied kaffir lime zest (B260). Heartier dishes include the pork sandwich and kimchi (B260) and burnt onion pasta (B320) with miso sauce and pickled mushrooms. We suggest going for the dinner special: roasted eggplant with chili sauce and burnt organic cows milk (B140).

As for the drinks, all coffee beans are hand-selected from growers around the world and roasted on the premises. Try the filter of the day (B160), or satisfy your daily vitamin intake with their fresh pressed juices, like Fatigue (B280), which has beetroot, green apple, carrot, pineapple and lime. The wine list, curated by natural wine sepcialist Naturalista, is excellent. We suggest trying the Travis Tausend (B350/glass), a lightly oaked Australian chardonnay, or the juicy, organic Domaine de l’Ecu Syrah (B280/glass). For the adventurous, the intense Le Coste 2016 (B2,000/bottle) from Lazio, Italy, is the way to go.
