The Deco

A moodily-lit addition to Lower Silom offers Jazz Age styling, live sport screenings and comfort food.

The Deco is a moodily-lit addition to Lower Silom’s burgeoning live jazz scene. Bands perform every night from 9-11pm, while the kitchen serves up straightforward Thai and Western, from goong oob woon sen (B250) to fish and chips (B450).

Classic cocktails start at B250. The decor, you guessed it, references the Roaring Twenties.

Standing right next door to Pullman G Hotel, in Lower Silom, this moodily-lit bar offers a laid-back atmosphere with decor that references, you guessed it, the Roaring Twenties.

There's semi-outdoor seating on the first floor, where live football matches are screened on the weekend. You won't miss the distinct art deco piece of HM The King right at the entrance, and there are more funky art pieces lining the wall as you head up the spiral staircase.

While they no longer offer live jazz music, they do bring in rotating DJs to take over the decks after 9pm, playing soundtracks covering easy-listening and reggae earlier on through to deep house and EDM later into the night.

The kitchen serves up straightforward Thai and Western, from basics like the nicely presented pad Thai (B350 for prawn, B250 for chicken and B150 for vegetarian), to sweet and sour sea bass (B550). As the menu is quite limited, special orders are also available upon advance request.

The classic cocktails come in huge glasses, starting at around B250-280, while the daily happy hours offer buy-one-get-one-free from 5-7pm. They're also planning to hold private art exhibitions in the future, too.
