At the second branch of one of Bangkok's best teahouses, Peace Oriental owner Teerachai Limpaitoon divides his tea selection into three collections: "purist," which is available to drink in and takeaway (B120 for hot; B140 for iced); "idealist," which is served in traditional tea sets (B240 with refillable water) and spans a list of 12 oolong from many regions; and "perfectionist," which ranges from the B350 set of yue guang bai white tea to the B880 set of 36-year baozhong laocha tea.
Matcha starts from B120, while he also serves the scrumptious koicha cream (milk ice cream in a well of thick matcha, B285) along with other tea desserts. Sit at the bar and talk with the tea master, or take up a seat on the floor at one of the peaceful, low tables.
