The setting is romantic and entrancing; an old house in a dreamily lit garden of magnificent trees is a good place for boisterous company or an intimate meal. The cuisine is mostly traditional, including the house specialty of pressed duck—after the meat has been carved, the carcass is placed in a beautiful metal press, which extracts the blood to be used in the gravy, prepared at a table among the diners.
