On Sunday evening (Feb 26), Emperor’s Secret officially announced on social media that the nightclub would be closing in March.

The Chinese-themed nightclub which regularly brought big crowds to Sukhumvit Soi 31 has been a part of the club kid life in Bangkok for more than three years. Inspired by the ancient vault of the reign of young Emperor Jing Li who sought a safe space away from his aunt Zhang Xiu, this spot regularly hosted big-name DJs and music acts in Phrom Phong.

Though March will be the venue’s last month of operation, throughout the month Emperor’s Secret will continue to host large events throughout the month as a final hurrah and has listed shows through Mar 24 so far.

This weekend will see Eddy Frampton on Friday and Diatonik B2B Optikz on Saturday, and next week will host Supernova on Mar 11. It looks like the end for the Emperor now, but with so many loyal fans, will the empire strike back?
