A delicious flavoring that’s (gasp) Asian! The world spent several decades trying to scare people away from MSG—brain damage, obesity, and Chinese Restaurant Syndrome, oh my! It’s a reminder that dumb, bare-faced lies existed long before the internet. Now Page Seven, ever the cheeky Bangkok nightlife innovators, have dedicated a Chinese New Year cocktail to the concept.

“My Sweet Game” is a drink from Page Seven that’s inspired by the paranoia and hysteria surrounding MSG, and what better way to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Featuring Bombay Sapphire Gin and Giffard Litchi-Li Liqueur along with Giffard Crème de Gingembre, the citrusy, cucumber-y drink comes with a dry chili kick and a subtle umami finish. Like the ridiculous controversy that plagued Chinese restaurants for decades, it’s a little deceptive and a mix of contradictions.

Opening in 2025, Page Seven became part of APT 101’s creative, retro nightlife identity, a reputation that continues with this fresh CNY cocktail.
