Calling all rum lovers: this Sunday, Aug 16, Charoenkrung’s Tropic City will be celebrating International Rum Day with a Battle Of The Bar showdown. The takeover will see Shavinraj Gopinath of Chinese herbal medicine-inspired speakeasy, Philtration, go head-to-head with Toon Kiattikoon from Chinatown’s hip Asia Today to see who is the fastest behind the bar as they whip up their own signature cocktails. Expect special rum-based concoctions, rum flights, mini rum tastings and tunes from DJ Maarten and Seba for the ultimate Sunday session.
