Pay tribute to the late experimental filmmaker Harun Farocki in Bangkok this weekend

The Reading Room and Filmvirus pay tribute to the late German filmmaker and video artist Harun Farocki (1944-2014), whose work examined the propagandist and manipulative functions of images, with a free screening this weekend (Aug 16-17).

The event, As We Can See Here: A Tribute to Harun Farocki, will show his nine films, including notable pictures such as Images of the World and the Inscription of War (1989) and War at a Distance (2003).

There'll also be a discussion by Keiko Sei and Graiwoot Chulphongsathorn on Sunday (Aug 17) at 5pm.
